Trump’s tax reform reaps benefits for Missourians

In The Kansas City Star, Lt. Governor of Missouri Mike Parson writes that “Wednesday, the president is coming back to Missouri to highlight the massive economic benefits of his successful effort to reduce America’s tax burden.”

“Our state has already benefited greatly from tax reform,” Lt. Governor Parson adds. “Companies across Missouri, including Central Bank of St. Louis, are using the savings from tax reform to invest in their workforce by issuing bonuses or raising pay for workers.”

In The Hill, national security expert Andy Keiser writes that CIA Director Mike Pompeo is the right man for the job as our Nation’s top diplomat. In Keiser’s view, “It’s clear that America will have a 70th United States Secretary of State who is smart, tested and in a strong position to effectively advocate for the country he has served with honor for so many years.”

Tom Rogan writes in the Washington Examiner that “Gina Haspel is a great choice to replace Mike Pompeo as CIA director.” Rogan points out that “Haspel’s courage in taking the fight to the enemy and extracting high grade human intelligence speaks to an all too rare kind of public servant: one who matches high skill to a willingness to take politically toxic risks to serve U.S. interests.”

In the New York Post, Betsy McCaughey breaks down how our massive trade deficits have harmed American workers, specifically in the aluminum and steel industries. Because of President Trump’s trade policies, “US Steel and Century Aluminum are already ramping up, bringing back hundreds of workers.”
